Here are the top stories today in Phoenix:
- Phoenix Theatre Company will require attendees to be masked and vaccinated for some of its shows. Some showings of each of its upcoming performances will have mask and vaccine requirements while the other showings will continue with previous protocols: temperature checks for everyone and masks strongly encouraged for attendees. - Phoenix Zoo's goat yard is reopened after more than a year closed, and the goats are ready to snuggle with zoo visitors. The closure was due to COVID-19 as well as staffing shortages.(12news.com KPNX)
- Urban Cookies Bakeshop in Phoenix used a $5,000 grant to partner with For Goodness Cakes to make birthday cakes for children in foster care. The bakery hopes to see others donate to For Goodness Cakes so that more children can have the birthday celebrations they deserve. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
- Four people died in four separate vehicle crashes in Phoenix over the weekend. One man died after jumping from a vehicle and then being run over. Police suspect that driver impairment was a factor in two of the four crashes. (Phoenix Patch)
