🌱 Half A Billion For Border Security + Yuma Property Tax Increase

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Yuma:
- The proposed Arizona state budget would provide over half of a billion for border security. $355 million of the proposed funds would be used for fencing with the rest of the funds beings used toward various border issues such as prosecutors and sheriffs. The Governor's spokesperson noted that the funds would be used to shore up Yuma's border gaps. (Axios Phoenix)
- Yuma County has proposed a significant increase in property taxes. The increase is reportedly due to an increase in the statewide levy tax. There will be a public hearing to discuss the increase on Jun. 20 at the Board of Supervisor's Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. (KYMA)
- The weather is blistering hot but there is some relief in Yuma for those that need it. The Salvation Army is providing assistance at the Yuma Corps on W.
