Here are the top three stories in Yuma today:

  1. Little Free Libraries are spreading the joy of reading in Yuma. The little libraries are part of a nonprofit organization with more than 100,000 registered book-sharing locations globally. You can find your closest little free library or to learn how to start your own at Little Free Library. (KYMA)
  2. The Humane Society of Yuma is reportedly at full capacity. The shelter is requesting the community's help in adopting pets to free up capacity for new intakes. Click to fill out an adoption application. Can't adopt? The shelter is also seeking donations. (Humane Society of Yuma)
  3. A pilot and co-pilot have been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross - the highest decoration for flying. Capt. Michael Wolff and Maj. Cory Jones were given the award for their efforts during a midair collision that occurred during training at The Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course in Yuma. The incident occurred in 2020 when a KC-130J Super Hercules collided with an F-35. (Task And Purpose)
