'Cheer' Star Cassadee Dunlap's Father Shot Repeatedly After Entering Wrong Apartment

A man found 49-year-old Ronald Dunlap in his kitchen at 3 a.m. and fired several rounds, reports said, leaving Dunlap in critical condition.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — The father of Cassadee Dunlap from the Netflix hit docuseries “Cheer” was shot repeatedly and in critical condition after he accidentally entered a neighbor’s apartment instead of his own, according to NBC News.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday at the Canopy Apartments in Little Rock, KATV reported. A tenant told police he was awoken by banging at the door, grabbed his gun, saw 49-year-old Ronald Dunlap in the kitchen and fired about five or six rounds, according to KATV.

Dunlap accidentally walked into the wrong unit, his nephew told police, NBC News reported.

No one was immediately charged, according to KATV.
