Firefighters Halt Forward Progress Of Vegetation Fire In East Bay
Over 40 firefighters responded to the blaze.
OAKLAND, CA — Over 40 firefighters responded to a vegetation fire in Oakland, halting its forward progress early Sunday morning, fire officials said on social media.
The blaze sprang up in the 5100 block of Redwood Avenue, fire officials reported at 1:48 a.m. Sunday. The Oakland Fire Department and the East Regional Park District both responded, fire officials said.
No structures were involved as of 1:48 a.m., according to fire officials.
