Speeding Driver Arrested After Fleeing Officer In Alameda County: Police
The driver's vehicle was also towed under a court order, police said.
ALAMEDA, CA — A driver was arrested Tuesday after fleeing an officer earlier in the month in Alameda, according to police.
The officer had tried to stop the driver, who was speeding in the 2200 block of San Antonio Avenue, on June 7, police said Wednesday in a social media post, but the driver fled.
“While the officer disengaged from a pursuit for safety reasons, they documented the vehicle’s description and license plate number, launched an investigation, and were able to identify the driver and their possible address,” according to police.

“The next day, officers located the vehicle, which was towed under a court order, and obtained an arrest warrant for the driver.”
The driver was located on Tuesday and arrested in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue, police said.
