11-Year-Old Goes Missing In Altadena

Authorities are asking for help finding a young boy whose been missing from his group home since Sunday.

ALTADENA, CA — Sheriff's detectives were Monday searching for an 11- year-old boy who ran away from a group home in Altadena, authorities said.

Kayson McLane was last seen about 5 p.m. Sunday walking away from the Hathaway Sycamores group home in the 2900 block of El Nido Avenue, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.

"Kayson has run away in the past and may be hanging out in the nearby Pasadena/Altadena area," Koerner said. His caregivers are concerned and would like the public's help finding him.

McLane is Hispanic, 5 1/2 feet tall, 131 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call investigators at the Altadena sheriff's station at (626) 798-1131 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
