Bite Back Against Mosquitoes In Altadena

ALTADENA, CA — Rising temperatures also bring a rise in mosquito activity and, with the Southland expected to see warmer weather in the next week, local officials will host an online webinar Thursday on how to stay safe from the pests.

The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District is conducting an online "Bite Back Tour" from city to city, showing residents how they can best protect themselves against mosquitoes. Residents will learn how to choose the right kind of bug repellent to ward off mosquitoes and how to identify the type of environments that attract the pests, according to officials.

The webinar for Altadena residents will take place Thursday, from 11 to 11:30 a.m., can be watched on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter. No advanced registration is required to view the webinar.
