Man Dies From Fall While Hiking In Altadena
Jacob Manders was reported missing and found dead the morning after. No foul play is suspected.
ALTADENA, CA — A man was found dead Monday after a hiking accident on a trail in Altadena.
Jacob Manders, 23, was located at 9:17 a.m. Monday on the Mountain Lowe Railway Trail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Manders was reported missing the night before. Authorities believe he died after falling off a steep hill.

His death was ruled accidental, and there is no suspicion of foul play, said Det. Mark Perez, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.
Manders worked as an aerospace engineer in Long Beach. He "lived life to its fullest" and enjoyed hiking and camping, according to his obituary. He also enjoyed yoga, sports, learning and spending time with his family and friends.
