1 Dead, 3 Injured In Riverside Crash
A driver was killed and three passengers were injured when a car crashed into a utility pole in Riverside, authorities said Saturday.
RIVERSIDE, CA — A driver was killed and three passengers were injured when a green sedan crashed into a utility pole in Riverside, authorities said Saturday.
The crash was reported at about 11:35 p.m. Friday at Central and Fairview avenues, according to Riverside Police Department Sgt. Dan Macias.
"The preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole," Macias said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and three passengers were taken to a hospital by ambulance, he said.
The driver's name was not released pending notification of relatives, Macias said.

An investigation was underway by the RPD's Major Accident Investigation Team, he said.
