RivCo Bomb Squad Blows Up Military Artillery Collection Found In Home: Report

Nearby homes were evacuated as officials carried out the destruction of military projectiles and canisters.

HEMET, CA — A man's artillery collection was found in a home in Riverside County and blown up by the sheriff's department's bomb squad this week, authorities said.

The operation was carried out after a man's widow asked for helping removing the ordnance from her Hemet home, The Press-Enterprise reported.

Around 3 p.m. on Dec. 29, nearby homes were reportedly evacuated after a Hemet police officer was shown several large projectiles and canisters that had been stored in the home.
