Car, Ambulance Collide At Vallejo Intersection, Police Say

The ambulance's emergency lights were activated but the driver of the vehicle reportedly failed to yield, according to police.

VALLEJO, CA — A vehicle collided with an ambulance at an intersection in Vallejo early Monday morning, a police lieutenant said. The collision occurred shortly after 5:15 a.m. at Tennessee and
Sacramento streets.

A 62-year-old woman driving a vehicle south on Sacramento Street failed to yield to the ambulance with its emergency lights on as it headed west on Tennessee, Vallejo police Lt. Jason Potts said.

The woman was taken to a hospital with complaints of pain to her hand and arm. No one was injured in the ambulance, which was not carrying a patient, Potts said.
