2 Berkeley Armed Robbery Suspects Charged: Cops
A third suspect, who has been identified as a 27-year-old San Pablo man, remains at large, according to police.
BERKELEY, CA — Two suspects were arrested and have since been charged in connection with a Berkeley armed robbery earlier this week, police said.
A 28-year-old man with no known address was charged with robbery, among other charges, and a 29-year-old Richmond woman was charged with possession of stolen property, the Berkeley Police Department said.
A third suspect, who has been identified as a 27-year-old San Pablo man, remains at large, according to police.

On Tuesday at around 7:15 a.m. a man in his 50s was carrying groceries in the 2300 block of Glen Avenue when he was held up at gun point, police said.
The victim was walking when a man armed with a shotgun emerged from a vehicle that slowly pulled up in front of him, police said.

The suspect demanded the victim’s cellphone and wallet and drove off after the victim surrendered his belongings, police said.
The man was able to return home and report the robbery a few minutes later, police said.
A responding officer patrolling northwest Berkeley spotted the suspect vehicle driving north on San Pablo Avenue, just across the Berkeley/Albany border, police said.
When the officer began following the suspect vehicle, it quickly turned into the Kaady Car Wash parking lot, police said.
As the officer pulled behind the vehicle in the parking lot, one of the occupants of the vehicle ran away and jumped over a nearby fence—leaving two others, a man and woman, still inside the vehicle, police said.
An officer detained the two suspects, police said.
A search of the suspects revealed the male suspect had a “shaved key”, which is often used in auto thefts, and the female suspect was in possession of the victim’s phone.
During a search of the vehicle officers found the victim’s stolen wallet and a modified shotgun hidden in the center console area, police said.
The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday charged the male suspect with robbery, being armed during the commission of a felony, and being a felon or addict in the possession of a firearm, and the female suspect with possession of stolen property, police said.
