2nd Suspect Arrested In December Shooting

Berkeley Police identified the suspects by reviewing surveillance footage and other physical evidence.

BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley police arrested a second suspect allegedly connected to a December shooting on Adeline Street.

Working with the U.S. Marshals Service, investigators on Monday arrested a 25-year-old resident of Lathrop and recovered a firearm during the operation.

Police on Jan. 16 arrested a 49-year-old Emeryville resident also allegedly connected to the shooting. While serving a search warrant in Emeryville, investigators recovered multiple firearms, narcotics packaged for sale, and a significant amount of cash.

At approximately 9:50 a.m. on Dec. 19, police had received multiple calls concerning gunfire near the 3200 block of Adeline Street.

Officers found numerous shell casings and documented property damage. Investigators identified the suspects by reviewing surveillance footage and other physical evidence. No injuries were reported.
