5th Annual Ride Electric At The Harvest Festival Coming To Berkeley

Festivalgoers can learn all about the benefits of electric bikes, scooters and cars during the 5th annual event.

BERKELEY, CA — Come out and test drive and explore the benefits of electric bikes, scooters and cars during the 5th Annual Ride Electric at the Harvest Festival in Berkeley Oct. 15.

Festivalgoers can explore the benefits of electric bikers, scooters and cars while finding more sustainable alternatives to commute and ways to haul everything from children to cargo at the event highlighting zero-emission transportation.

"You can also learn about credits, rebates, grants, and loans that help lower the cost of buying an electric car or e-bike," the city of Berkeley said in a news release. "Meet people who already own one and ask them about their experiences."

Held at Cedar Rose Basketball Courts, 20 Virginia Gardens, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event will offer test drives on e-bikes and e-scooters as well as include resources for accessing clean electricity for those e-bikes and electric cars people may already own.

The event will also feature kid-friendly crafts, games, and more at Berkeley’s Harvest Festival at nearby Cedar Rose Park.

The festival also features a Food Contest to celebrate the city's thriving culture of growing and making its own food and live entertainment by Smokehouse Reunion, United We Fam and Funky Latin Orchestra.
