Berkeley Police Offering Reward for Info Regarding 2016 Shooting

Berkeley is offering $50,000 for information leading to the arrest & conviction of those responsible for a 2016 murder near San Pablo Park.

BERKELEY, CA --The City of Berkeley is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of all responsible suspects in the murder of a man who died of gunshot wounds in the San Pablo Park neighborhood more than two-and-a-half years ago.

Just before midnight on Aug. 18 2016, officers responded to San Pablo Park where Alex Goodwin Jr. was found unresponsive. Goodwin was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

"Detectives believe there are individuals with information about this case and are asking for their help," the Berkeley Police Dept. said in a April 15 statement. "Even the smallest detail could be critical in solving this crime."
