Berkeley Teen Arrested After Leading Cops On Freeway Chase
The 16-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of evading police and possession of a stolen vehicle, the Berkeley Police Department said.
BERKELEY, CA — A Berkeley teen who led police on a chase was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with a carjack investigation, police said.
The 16-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of evading police and possession of a stolen vehicle, the Berkeley Police Department said.
At about 1:48 pm, officers spotted a vehicle wanted from a previous carjacking in Oakland. The vehicle fled from officers and is currently on Highway 24.

The driver was among three teens (all juveniles) who were arrested, police said. The other two were subsequently released.
