BERKELEY, CA — A massive storm Sunday flooded streets and toppled trees in Berkeley and wreaking havoc throughout the Bay Area.

The National Weather Service reports 2.77 inches of rain fell on Berkeley over a 48-hour period as of Monday at 7:18 a.m.

El Cerrito saw 5.66 inches of rain over a 48-hour period as of 7:17 a.m. and 1.94 inches fell over the same period in Albany.

In Berkeley, the 400 block of Arlington Avenue was closed Sunday night due to flooding after Ashby Avenue at Seventh Street was closed earlier in the day at the underpass due to flooding.
