A short note of thanks at the end of this third week of the Omicron surge. We are doing so well together, and despite the stress and fatigue we all feel, our BUSD schools are holding strong in the face of these challenges.

I’m writing to appeal again for volunteers to support our Twice-Per-Week COVID Testing program. Last week, almost two hundred volunteers helped our team of testing technicians to dramatically expand our test offerings across all our campuses. We still need your help!

My sincere thanks to Berkeley School Volunteers for so effectively helping to organize this community effort to keep our schools open, to last week’s volunteers, and to all our families. Just as we have done so often in the past, Berkeley is pulling together!

We are still actively seeking volunteers to help us further expand COVID testing for our students. Since my request for volunteers to the BUSD community on Monday, we’ve had more than 120 individuals sign up to help with testing! But we still need more help for about a 3-4 week period. Una breve nota de agradecimiento al final de esta tercera semana de la oleada de Ómicron. Lo estamos haciendo muy bien juntos, y a pesar del estrés y la fatiga que todos sentimos, nuestras escuelas en BUSD se mantienen fuertes frente a estos desafíos.

Les estoy escribiendo para solicitar nuevamente voluntarios que apoyen nuestro programa de pruebas COVID Dos-Veces-Por-Semana. La semana próximo pasada, casi doscientos voluntarios ayudaron a nuestro equipo de técnicos de pruebas a ampliar drásticamente nuestra oferta de pruebas en todos nuestros planteles escolares. ¡Seguimos necesitando su ayuda!
