ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Yesenia Sanchez has taken an early lead over incumbent Gregory Ahern in in the Alameda County Sheriff’s race.

All 454 Alameda County precincts are reporting but the county has not estimated what percent of the vote was counted as of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Sanchez led with 42,094 votes (46.8 percent) and Ahern received 32,746 votes (36.4 percent).

Pamela Price led in the Alameda County district attorney race with 36,008 votes (39.8 percent) and Terry Wiley was second with 27,903 votes (30.9 percent).

Incumbent L.K. Monroe led in the county superintendent of schools race with 42,616 votes (51.7 percent) and Alysse Castro received 39,802 votes (48.3 percent).
