UC Berkeley Student Hospitalized After Drowning At Fraternity
The student was found in a pool at an off-campus fraternity Friday, according to a news report.
BERKELEY, CA — A UC Berkeley student was hospitalized Friday after nearly drowning in a pool at an off-campus fraternity.
The student, according to the report, was found at the Alpha Delt Phi off-campus fraternity located at 2422 Prospect St, according to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle.
It's unclear how the student ended up in the pool. But the student was in critical condition when taken to a hospital, according to the report.

The Berkeley Police Department is investigating the incident, Adam Ratliff, a spokesperson with UC Berkeley Student Affairs, said.
The university encourages any students impacted by the incident to seek support, Ratliff said, adding that UC Berkeley offers comprehensive psychological services.

"Our thoughts are with the student, their family, loved ones and friends during this time," Ratliff said. "We are following our protocols to offer support to the student and their family. The safety and wellbeing of our students remains our top priority."
