Beverly Hills Police Recognized For Il Pastaio Investigation
The Beverly Hills Police Department was recognized for its investigation of an armed robbery and shooting at Il Pastaio.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Multiple Beverly Hills Police Department personnel were recognized for their investigation into the Il Pastaio shooting and armed robbery in March 2021, according to the department.
The U.S. Attorney's Office on Nov. 16 announced that BHPD Detective Chris Coulter, Sgt. Eric Hyon, former Sgt. Kevin Burger, and FBI Special Agents Michael Fukuda and Chris McElroy had received U.S. Attorney Agency Awards for their efforts, according to the Beverly Hills Courier.
"Beverly Hills Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations worked tirelessly to catch the individuals responsible. This successful prosecution led to the convictions of three gang members, who were all sentenced to lengthy periods of imprisonment," the US Attorney Agency Awards recognition said, according to the department.

Three gang members were sentenced to federal between five and 12 years in federal prison for the armed robbery and shooting at Il Pastaio on March 4, 2021, according to City News Service. One woman was shot during the robbery and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another person was robbed of a wristwatch worth around $500,000, according to City News Service.
