Beverly Hills Robbery: 1 Suspect Detained

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills police on Thursday detained one person related to a robbery, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Officers responded to a robbery in the 9700 block of Wilshire Boulevard around 3:47 p.m., police said. Police ultimately found and detained a person matching a suspect description a "short distance away" from the robbery, police said.

"There is no current threat to the public," BHPD personnel said in an alert.

There was no immediate identifying information on the person detained or the nature of the robbery.
