Festival Beverly Hills Returns For 2nd Year This Weekend
The multicultural festival will feature arts and food from a range of countries and cultures around the world.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Over two dozen music, dance and literary performances will take place this weekend as part of the second annual Festival Beverly Hills.
The festival will take place Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Boulevard.
The event is being presented in collaboration with the city, the Farhang Foundation and the consulates of Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Senegal and Trinidad and Tobago.

Highlights include:
- Performances by Klezmer Juice, Fulbright award winning fiddle player Lily Henley and Afro-Cuban musicians Changui Majadero
- Musical and dance contributions from the El Salvadoran, Colombian, and Trinidad and Tobagoan consulates
- A community drum circle with Malick Sow
- Readings with PEN America and Street Poets, which will also be hosting a mobile poetry booth
- Grammy Award-winning ukelele player Daniel Ho and Hālau Hula Kealiʻi o Nālani, Hawaiian dancers lead by Keali’i Ceballos
- Japanese tea ceremony and matcha-making workshops with Soyu Yuko Uyesugi
- Traditional hair wrap and hair braiding with Senegalese artists Ndeye Coura and Souadou Diop
- Collaborative painting with Mount of Angels and face painting by Colombian artist Sandra Cortes of TopStar Face Art
- Virtual Reality exploration of the Mogao Caves in China sponsored
- Drum making with creative reuse organization reDiscover Center
- Family-friendly puppet performances with Bob Baker Marionettes and the Farhang Foundation
- Food from NOUSH by Iranian Chef Mojdeh; Creole Kings; Colombian fare by Vivi’s Gourmet; Acai Me More Brazilian-style frozen treats, and Creamy Boys’ New Zealand soft serve.
