Mastro's Co-Founders Open New Steakhouse In Beverly Hills

Steak 48 is serving up custom-cut, 28-day wet-aged steaks and a wine selection from a 3,000-bottle vault in Beverly Hills.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The brothers behind Mastro's Steakhouse opened a new restaurant, Steak 48, in Beverly Hills in January, and has been serving up meat from its in-house butcher since.

The Beverly Hills location, seated between Neiman Marcus and True Spec Golf at 9680 Wilshire Blvd, joins four other Steak 48 restaurants in Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia and Charlotte. Steak 48 is one of multiple steakhouse chains owned by Jeffrey and Michael Mastro, the brothers behind California-favorite Mastro's Steakhouse and Mastro’s Ocean Club.

To celebrate its opening, the restaurant hosted an invite-only dinner and a luncheon to benefit the non-profit Race to Erase MS, which funds research to eradicate MS.

On top of the expected steakhouse classics like aged steaks and lobster, the menu features a custom raw bar, a 3,000 bottle wine bottle collection and a scotch collection. Highlights include colossal shrimp, east and west coast oysters, and rock shrimp mac & cheese.

Jeffrey and Michael Mastro no longer own the Mastro's restaurant brand, which was acquired in 2013 by Landry's, Inc.
