Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Struck, Killed In South San Jose
The death marked the 17th fatal car crash on San Jose city streets since the beginning of this year.

SAN JOSE, CA — A pedestrian who died after being hit by a car while crossing a road in South San Jose on Monday night has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as resident Nhan Ngo.
The 48-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after he was walking north across Tully Road at 10:24 p.m. and was knocked to the ground by a Nissan Rogue, according to San Jose police.
The car was traveling west when the driver, a woman, hit Ngo, police said. She stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
Ngo's death marked the 17th fatal car crash on San Jose city streets since the beginning of this year, according to police.
