Julie Moss, the second person inducted into the Ironman Hall of Fame, will compete with hundreds of other athletes this Sunday in the Carlsbad Triathlon.
The Carlsbad Triathlon course begins at Tamarack Surf Beach, and follows the coastline of Carlsbad, past scenic beaches, lagoons and a wildlife preserve. Roads will be closed in that area.
The event is put on by the City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department, and it's designed for first-timers to the elites.
