Part of Carlsbad Westfield Plaza Mall Evacuated as Bomb Squad Investigates

A large portion of Carlsbad's Westfield mall was evacuated around 4:30 p.m. Sunday about a 40 minutes after the report of a suspicious package discovered inside the store Underground Journey, Fox5 and 10news reported.

The bomb squad and Carlsbad Police were called to the scene. The suspicious package was removed within the hour.
