Disney Announces New Age Restrictions at Resorts
Children younger than 14 will need to have an older companion starting on March 23.

The Disney resorts will require children below the age of 14 to be accompanied by someone older than that to get in starting March 23, 2013.
No particular incident triggered the change in policy, a Disney spokeswoman told the Orange County Register.
Some parents have reportedly purchased annual passes for their kids and frequently dropped them off for the day at Disneyland and California Adventure, the newspaper reported.

Those children will now have to be in the company of a person older than 14 to gain admittance to the gates now. The spokeswoman told the Register that the change is being explained to pass holders.
The new policy will be enforced only against children who appear to be younger than 14, because few children have identification with their birth dates, the park spokeswoman told the Register.
