The following is from Jefferson Elementary School's PTA
The Jefferson Elementary School PTA invites the community to participate in its Multicultural Festival fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 18 at 3743 Jefferson Ave. The day will feature dances and songs from around the world performed by students in each grade level, including the school band, choir and drill team.
“The great thing about the Multicultural Festival is that it gives us chance to celebrate the diversity of our school,” says Jefferson Elementary School Principal Chad Lund. “Our Jefferson students have so much talent. It’s nice they have an opportunity show it off to the community every year.”
The outdoor festival will also include game booths, a Read Across America Pie Eating Contest, gift basket prizes, and a silent auction with fantastic items donated by local businesses and beyond. Food will be provided by local restaurants, including El Puerto and Knockout Pizza.
Admission is free. Tickets may be purchased for games, carnival rides, food, and other activities.
