Intoxicated Hit and Run Suspect Leads Police on Pursuit in Carlsbad
The suspect led police on a 6 minute pursuit that ended on Melaleuca Ave. where the suspect stopped and was taken into custody after being tasered.
Sunday at 12:23 a.m. the City of Carlsbad Police Department assisted the California Highway Patrol with the pursuit of a hit and run driver in the area of Palomar Airport Road.
The suspect led the police department on a 6 minute pursuit that terminated in the 900 block of Melaleuca Avenue where the suspect stopped and was taken into custody after a taser deployment.
The police department will handle the pursuit investigation. The California Highway Patrol will conduct the DUI and hit and run investigation. The suspect was booked into county jail for felony DUI, hit and run, and evasion.
