Magnolia's fifth and final Farm Stand of May and the year was an
overwhelming success, reports the school's PTA.
In addition to strawberries, offerings included organic vegetables and herbs donated by the Carlsbad Community Garden. Parents and community members brought reusable bags that they filled with Swiss chard, bell peppers, onions, kale, squash, sage, basil and more.
The PTA says, "Our pilot program, coordinated by parent Cara Ratajczak has been so well- received that we will be continuing our Farm Stand in the upcoming school year!"
