ArtBeat on Main Street hopes artists stand up for local charities by painting chairs.
ArtBeat co-owners Kait Matthews and Kris Petersen explain, “We are coordinating an effort to raise funds to purchase art supplies for local charities to use in their community outreach programs. Artists are invited to pick up a chair to paint from our Gallery at 330 Main Street in downtown Vista, recycle an existing chair, build one or obtain an unfinished chair.”
Artists should take their creations to the Gallery by June 25th.
The chairs, featuring artists’ names, will be displayed on June 26th at Taste of Vista. Afterward, they will be showcased at local business establishments until August 3rd, when they will be auctioned off at the Vista Smokin’ BBQ Cookoff.
For more information, email ArtinVista@gmail.com or call ArtBeat at 760-295-3118. Matthews and Petersen say, “We are so happy to collaborate on this project with Vista ‘neighbors’ Jeff Underdahl Real Estate, Staged4Sale and The Wellness Center, all of whom donated chairs. As we get ready to celebrate our first anniversary in June, we enjoy being part of the dynamic business and community scene in downtown Vista. Together, we’re creating a vibrant vibe!”
