SAN MARCOS, CA — A woman died after being stuck by a car in San Diego's North County, authorities said Saturday.
The crash happened at 9:07 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South Twin Oaks Valley Road and Shubin Lane in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
A woman driving a white Toyota Camry southbound on South Twin Oaks Valley Road stuck a 76-year-old pedestrian, Sgt. Agustin Rosas said. The victim was taken to the Palomar Medical Center Trauma Unit, where she died.

The driver remained at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, Rosas said.
The identities of the driver and the victim were not immediately available.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to contact the San Marcos Station Traffic Division.
