Pet of the Week: April is a Staff Favorite but Overlooked Due to Weight

Hi, I'm April (A1519535) and I have a weight problem. Yes, I hear all the comments people make on the other side of the glass - and you thought it was soundproof, well, it's not. I'm here to tell you that I have a huge heart and a lot of love to give - regardless of my girth. I am very sweet and friendly and a staff favorite. Yes, I am well aware that it looks like I swallowed a basketball but we have more in common than you may think. I'm an emotional eater but with the right home and loving family I can get my weight back in check if you'll only give me a chance. I promise you won't be disappointed.  I'm a purr machine but I'm sad because I get overlooked for my weight and age; 5 years is not old! I have plenty of life in me.
