More than 500 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the Carlsbad area lost power in separate outages early today. Fourteen SDG&E customers lost power at 7:50 a.m. and the lights went off for another 529 at 8:34 a.m., according to the utility, which estimated power would be restored to the smaller grouping by 10:20 a.m. and the second by roughly 11 a.m.
The cause of the outages was under investigation.
