Sign Up for Snores n S'mores Family Campout Before it Sells Out
Hop along with your young ones down a make-believe rabbit hole for a real "Alice in Wonderland"-themed adventure at Snores n S'mores on Saturday, Aug. 10 to Sunday, Aug. 11, at Aviara Community Park, 6435 Ambrosia Lane in Carlsbad.
Snores n S'mores, sponsored by the City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department, brings families together for a night of tent-pitching, s'mores roasting and outdoor movie watching, all in the comfort of a neighborhood park.
The event runs from 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, to 9 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, and is $20 per person (free for ages 3 and under).
Families will enjoy a night of family fun, including navigating through a giant caterpillar obstacle course, celebrating un-birthdays by making creative crafts at the tea party, followed by a pizza dinner and the outdoor movie with popcorn and s’mores.

Special Events Supervisor Rachael Shay said the idea of Snores n S'mores is to give families an opportunity to safely camp out among the stars.
"Snores n S'mores is a great way for families to experience camping in an easy, safe way," she said, adding that its themed activities "make it a fun event even for the most experienced campers."
Shay said the event is so popular that it usually sells out, and suggests signing up early.
Attendees must sign up by Aug. 9. You can register by calling 760-602-7510 or online. Select CLASS# 57972.
