Students Take Center Stage at Celebrate Carlsbad Day at Legoland
The event on April 27 helps raise money for music, science and other educational programs at Carlsbad schools.
"We are thrilled with our Celebrate Carlsbad Day results," said Carlsbad Education Foundation director of development Patty Johnson.
CEF was able to sell discounted tickets to Legoland for $20 and $7 for admission to Sea Life Aquarium.
"We sold 10,000 tickets, received $53,000 cash from LEGOLAND plus 1,000 field trips valued at $1,400 for a total donation valued at $67,000! Add to that another $24,000 in corporate sponsorships and we achieved a total of $77.000 in revenue," added Johnson.
