Teen On E-Bike Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In North County
Investigators said a pickup truck struck the teen and then fled the scene.
SAN MARCOS, CA — Authorities asked for the public's help finding a hit-and-run driver who struck a teenager riding an e-bike this week in northern San Diego County.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West Mission and Knoll roads in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators said a pickup truck struck the teen and then fled the scene. The boy was taken to a hospital.

The truck was described as a lifted white 2019 to 2021 model GMC Sierra. The vehicle had front-end damage, including a broken headlamp, fender and antenna, according to the sheriff's department.
Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call the San Marcos Sheriff's Station at 760-510-5200.
