2 Hayward, Castro Valley Restaurants Named Best Of The East Bay

CASTRO VALLEY, CA - Readers of Diablo Magazine named two restaurants in Castro Valley and Hayward as “Best of the East Bay” in 2023.

In the diner category, Black Bear Diner was chosen as the runner up. In Hayward, it is located at 25202 Hesperian Blvd.

In the ice cream category, the runner up is Loard’s, located at 3389 Village Dr. in Castro Valley, loards.com.

Each year, Diablo Magazine asks its readers to vote on everything they like in the East Bay, from restaurants to museums to bars to barbershops.

Most of the winners are clustered in the interior East Bay where the magazine's readership is strongest.
