Alameda Co. Sheriff's Office Asks For Help To Find Missing Child

HAYWARD, CA — The Alameda County Sheriff's Office took to social media to ask for the public's help in locating a missing child from Hayward.

Randy Yanez, 12, was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, leaving his home in the 19000 block of Camden Avenue in Hayward the sheriff's office said on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

According to the post, Yanez has brown eyes and brown hair with an "Edgar" style cut, he child was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Yanez is familiar with public transportation and has a cellphone with him, but is believed to have no money.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office said Yanez frequents the San Francisco area and may have gone there.
