Alameda County Seeks Applicants for 2025-26 Civil Grand Jury

Nominations are due by April 15 for the local watchdog panel examining government operations.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Alameda County Superior Court is seeking civic-minded residents to apply for the 2025-26 Civil Grand Jury, a volunteer watchdog group tasked with investigating local government operations and citizen complaints.

Nominations must be submitted by April 15, 2025.

Each year, the court nominates at least 30 residents — six from each of Alameda County’s five supervisorial districts — to create a pool of potential jurors. From that group, 19 jurors will be randomly selected to serve a one-year term beginning July 1.
