Candidate Forum for San Lorenzo Village Homes Association Board of Directors

You are invited to the Candidate Forum which will be held at the Community Hall of the San Lorenzo Village Homes Association on Thursday, Dec. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m.

There are three candidates running for two open seats. All three candidates, Catherine Kavasch, Steve Kirk, and La Narce Thomas, have confirmed their attendance.

The forum is conducted by the Eden Area League of Women Voters. The League believes that it is imperative for voters to have an accurate understanding of the position of each candidate running for any elected office.

The key to the League’s success for candidate forums is to provide unbiased, factual information. Thus, our League has adopted careful and objective candidate participation criteria for the forums.

Our ground rules are set to ensure that the activity is conducted in a strictly nonpartisan manner:

a) All viable candidates must be invited to participate in the debate;
b) Each candidate is given equal time to speak;
c) We choose an unbiased moderator who is not supporting any of the candidates or voting in that particular election;
d) Questions from the audience are screened to make sure they are relevant to the election/candidate;
e) We ask that individual literature be outside of where the forum in held.
