Eden Medical Center Now Houses 24-Hour Medication Disposal Bin

Have unwanted and expired medications laying around the house and in your medicine cabinet that you've been trying to get rid of for months or years?

In support of the Alameda County Medication Disposal Initiative, Eden Medical Center provides a safe and convenient medication disposal site for the Castro Valley community and others to address misuse of pharmaceuticals in the home and pollution in waterways.

Safely dispose of expired or unwanted medication at . A medication bin is available 24-hours a day and is located near the Emergency Room entrance.

Empty your medications into a ziploc bag and bring the medicaitons to the bin at the Emergency entrance.

The bin was installed mid August by Alameda County. (CVSan) funds the safe disposal of the medicaitons.

Please note, narcotics are not accepted.
