• 4:06 a.m.: A 58-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and suspicion of driving while under the influence (DUI). A 52-year-old Castro Valley woman was also arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. They were arrested on the corner of Castro Valley Boulevard and Wisteria Street. • 11:52 p.m.: A 26-year-old Hayward man was arrested for possession for methamphetamine. He was arrested on off Strobridge and Castro Valley Boulevard. (Castro Valley)
• 8:20 p.m.: A Hayward woman was arrested for possession a destructive or explosive device. She was arrested on the corner of Via Manzanas and Via Alamitos. (San Lorenzo)

Saturday, Feb. 4

• 12:45 a.m.: A 34-year-old Oakland man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on the 17000 block of Hesperian Boulavard. (San Lorenzo)
• 2:18 a.m.: A 52-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license. He was arrested on the 3600 block of Castro Valley Boulevard. (Castro Valley)
• 3:30 a.m. A Castro Valley man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A Hayward woman was also arrested for theft. The two were arrested on Redwood Road and Watson Street. (Castro Valley)
• 5:16 p.m.: A 21-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for posession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Via Susanna and Via Buena Vista. (San Lorenzo)
