Castro Valley Photographer’s Display Opens in Pleasanton

CASTRO VALLEY, CA -- Pleasanton art gallery Studio Seven Arts has announced a new display by Castro Valley artist-photographer Gary Bosley.

The display is a collection of 8-by 1o wall decorations called “rose giclees.” They are photographs of roses in natural light and developed on metal. According to the studio, the metal process makes the colors deeply saturated and vibrant, to where the colors “pop” off the wall. The process does not use “photoshop processing” or other image enhancing.

“I never expected to be on this side of a photographer’s camera," Bosley said. But, in seeing how pretty the developing process makes the roses, it looked like fun to do the giclee’s.”

He explained that many people use the photographs to beautify kitchen, or other, walls. Bosley is the owner of an advertising agency in Castro Valley and previously edited and published business newspapers in Southern California. He is a Castro Valley resident, Rotarian, and member of the chamber of commerce.

Studio Seven Arts in downtown Pleasanton on Main Street bills itself as the largest art and custom framing gallery in the Bay Area. The gallery ships fine art and custom jewelry nationwide.
