Castro Valley Sushi Spot Gets Nod From Eater SF

Whether you are looking for an omakase dining experience or bento box takeout, this restaurant is ready to serve fresh seasonal sushi.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — If you love great sushi you don't need to leave town to indulge your tastebuds. Eater SF featured Tancho Japanese Restaurant in its list of 13 Incredibly Fresh Sushi Restaurants in the East Bay.

"Tancho Japanese Restaurant serves excellent Edomae-style sushi in an omakase setting, and bento boxes are available to go with high-end add-ons such as Hokkaido uni," Eater SF said of Tancho. "Expect seasonal fish to be part of the menu throughout the year."

Reservations are encouraged. "We are currently serving omakase menu to a maximum number of 16 guests only per round, two rounds of service; at 5:45PM and 8PM, respectively," the restaurant tells guests on its reservations page. The price is $125 per person.

Tancho also has bento boxes for takeout Tuesday through Saturday, at a cost of $9.90 to $75. View the menu and place your order on the reservations page.
