Castro Valley's Pizza The Bay Makes 'Hottest' List

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — If you are looking for a new restaurant to try, Eater SF gave Castro Valley's Pizza The Bay a place on its April list of Hottest New Restaurants in the East Bay.

Amrafel Tomas and business partner Shimei Burgueno are "baking sourdough pizzas and putting creative spins on them," according to Eater SF, "such as the Washington Square pie with mozzarella, onions, aged prosciutto, grana padano, and an egg."

Pizza The Bay's menu includes pizza, calzones, salads, sandwiches and wings. According to the online menu, the restaurant's most popular items are the Brussel Sprouts Appetizer, Meatball Calzone, Meatball Appetizer, and Sesame Calzone.
