Jackson Morgan won the championship at 157 pounds, helping the Chabot wrestling team to a sixth-place finish at the Sacramento City tournament this past weekend.
Morgan pinned three opponents to reach the finals and then won by majority decision 12-5 over Grant Eklund from Cuesta.
The Glads’ Almazbekov Abdymanap wrestled gallantly in the 285 weight class en route to fifth place, while being 80 pounds lighter than some of his opponents. Treyvon Abury pinned his way into the semifinals and took fifth place at 184 pounds..
