CVSan: Christmas and New Year’s Holidays and Holiday Tree Recycling

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24th, Thursday, December 25th, Wednesday, December 31st, and Thursday, January 1st in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Christmas and New Year’s Day Holiday

CVSan Closed 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1.

ACI Closed 12/25, 1/1.

During the Christmas and New Year’s weeks, customers with Thursday and Friday services will have their collection delayed by one day.

(Customers with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday service will have regular service -not delayed.)

Holiday Tree Recycling will occur on your regular collection day, January 5th - 9th, and January 12th - 16th. Remove ornaments, tinsel, nails, and stands. Flocked trees will be collected but not composted. If necessary, cut the tree into a maximum of six-foot lengths.

• Single-family residents may set out holiday trees curbside.
• Multi-family residents may set out holiday trees curbside or in the general collection area.
